Extended Media is a Norway-based creative technology studio specializing in bridging the gap between the physical and digital worlds. We craft immersive experiences, compelling visualizations, and interactive solutions that leverage cutting-edge technologies to engage audiences, communicate complex information, and bring innovative ideas to life. Our Expertise:

  • 3D Art & Visualization: We transform concepts into precise, photorealistic 3D models, serving diverse needs from product design and architectural visualization to character creation and historical reconstructions. Our capabilities include detailed modeling, advanced texturing, photogrammetry, and preparation for 3D printing. We utilize industry-standard software such as Autodesk Maya, Blender, ZBrush, Substance Painter, and Unreal Engine.

  • Augmented Reality (AR): We develop engaging AR applications for mobile devices and headsets, blurring the lines between the real and virtual. Our AR expertise encompasses platform development (e.g., SnicSnac), custom application creation, and concept development for museums, heritage sites, and marketing campaigns. We leverage AR frameworks like ARKit to create interactive and immersive experiences.

  • Virtual Reality (VR): We create immersive VR experiences for a variety of platforms, including Meta Quest and HTC Vive. Our VR projects range from documentary storytelling ("Shadow of War") to interactive museum exhibits and training simulations. We utilize Unity and Unreal Engine to build compelling virtual environments and interactive narratives.

  • Interactive Installations: We design and build interactive installations for museums, visitor centers, and public spaces. These installations often combine physical elements with digital technology, such as projection-mapping onto 3D-printed models, interactive touchscreens, and sensor-based interactions. Our goal is to create engaging and informative experiences that encourage exploration and learning.

  • Digital Media Production: We offer a full range of digital media production services, including video production, animation, motion graphics, and website design and development. We create promotional videos, explainer animations, educational content, and interactive websites that effectively communicate our clients' messages.

  • Live Visuals and VJing: We design and present immersive visuals for live, and hybrid events. Using the latest technologies, we create an unique atmosphere for concerts, cultural and business happenings.
